Rental Event Presented by The Harriman Institute Washington, D.C.'s award-winning premiere physical theater company mounts a rare New York City production of its acclaimed Host and Guest, based on the epic poem by Georgian writer Vazha Pshavela. Host and Guest revolves around the tragic friendship between two Caucasian men, one Muslim and one Christian, who befriend one another in a time of war despite the resistance they face from their own communities. The New York Times calls Synetic Theater "Art with a Captial A." THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED IN A PREVIOUS SEASON! Proceeds from this event will support Georgian studies programming at Columbia's Harriman Institute for Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European Studies.
